About the Wedding

  • Our wedding will be an upscale celebration, and we encourage guests to dress toward the more elevated end of formal attire. Think, as dressed up as you can get without going full black tie—we didn't want to ask our guests to rent or travel with tuxedos! Floor-length dresses and dark suits with ties are preferred. Please reach out to the bride or groom with any questions about the dress code!

  • A rental car is not necessary, but it may be convenient for guests traveling from out of town. We will not be providing transportation between the church and reception, so we recommend that groups consider renting a car together and carpooling. The church and reception are very close to one another, and Uber is also an option. Having a car may make getting to and from your hotel and around Knoxville easier, but you can certainly attend the wedding without one!

  • We are so excited to celebrate with you! Due to space limitations, we are only able to accommodate the guests specifically included on each invitation. If you have been given a plus one, this will be indicated on your invitation. We kindly ask that guests without an indicated plus one attend solo. Thank you so much for understanding!

  • We kindly ask that guests arrive to the church by 4:30 PM so that everyone is seated before our ceremony begins at 5:00 PM. Guests can proceed to Cherokee Country Club for the reception immediately following the ceremony.

  • Central Baptist Church and Cherokee Country Club are very close to one another—only about a 5-minute drive! Please note that transportation between the ceremony and reception will not be provided, so guests should plan to drive, carpool, or use a rideshare service.

  • Yes! Self-parking is available at Central Baptist Church. For the reception, Cherokee Country Club offers valet parking as well as limited self-parking. We encourage guests to take advantage of the valet service or carpool when possible!

  • Our ceremony will take place indoors at Central Baptist Church. The reception will be primarily indoors at Cherokee Country Club, with the option to enjoy the porch and back patio if the weather cooperates!

  • We have reserved room blocks at two hotels and have included several other accommodation options for our out-of-town guests. Please visit the Travel & Stay page for all hotel and booking information.

  • Yes! Our registry can be found on the Registry page of our website. We are so grateful for your generosity, but most of all, we are thankful that you are coming to celebrate with us!

About the Bride & Groom

  • Zack picked Claire up in the city, and they headed to one of his favorite bowling spots in New Jersey. While Claire’s bowling skills left a little to be desired, Zack loved how confidently she embraced the challenge and how easygoing she was about the whole thing. They spent the evening talking, laughing, and getting to know each other—and clearly, the date went pretty well!

  • For their second date, Claire and Zack planned to get sushi at a restaurant called Hane and then go indoor mini golfing. They never made it to mini golf! Instead, they spent over four hours at dinner talking about anything and everything until the restaurant closed. Zack then walked Claire home in the rain, sharing one very tiny umbrella. Hane has since become “their spot,” and they often look back on that night as the moment they realized this could become something special.

  • Zack was the first to say “I love you,” and Claire said it right back. While he may have been the first to put it into words, they both knew the feeling had been there for a while.

  • Claire and Zack will be married in the same church where Claire’s parents met and were later married, standing in the very same place where they exchanged their vows. It is also the church where Claire grew up and was baptized, making it a place deeply woven into her family’s history. Their reception will also be held at the same place where Claire’s parents celebrated their wedding, with many of the same people who celebrated with them all those years ago! Claire and Zack are excited to begin this new chapter of their lives together in places that already hold so many meaningful memories for her family. Getting to add their own wedding day to that history makes both places even more special!

  • Zack and Claire are planning to live on the West Side of Manhattan in New York City as they continue their medical training. They’ll be up north for a while, but they’re excited to see where their journey takes them in the future!

  • Zack will remain at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine, completing clinical rotations with hopes of pursuing orthopedic surgery in the future. Claire is set to graduate from NYU Grossman School of Medicine in May 2027—just a few weeks before the wedding! She will then continue her training at NYU as a resident in child neurology, now as Dr. Sylvester! Together, they’re excited to begin married life in New York City while pursuing their careers in medicine.
